Firefly Lodge has the most spectacular, sweeping views of any of our cabins, and is a favorite among our guests. In season, fireflies sparkle throughout the 48-acre property, from grass to treetops.
Firefly Lodge has everything you need for your family gathering or group, including upstairs and downstairs living rooms, washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, and large dining room table which can seat 22 people at one time (with all leaves). The lodge features 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Bedroom layouts: Room 1 has 2 queen beds and 2 twin bunkbeds with private bathroom; Room 2 has 1 queen bed and 1 twin bunk bed with private bathroom; Room 3 has 2 twin over full bunk beds with shared bathroom; Room 4 has 2 twin bunk beds and shared bathroom. The living room downstairs has a sofa bed to sleep 2 extra.
Take time to explore the grounds – take a stroll by the fountain in the back yard, play a friendly game of yard volleyball or cornhole, or take a short hike up the steps to the scenic overlook. A basketball hoop is provided in the parking area.
Firefly Lodge’s private pool, is accessible exclusively to its guests, open May through September. A private hot tub is located on the patio beside the pool.
You will feel like royalty when you stay at Firefly Lodge, which was one the of the former homes of Author and Philanthropist, Doris Eakes. CBM (Children’s Bible Ministries), the ministry that owns TRC and all of its cabins, purchased this new property in May 2021 and is so excited to share with you the glory of God’s creation clearly on display at our newest cabin, Firefly Lodge. As with the rental of any of TRC’s cabins, we thank you for your stay, which supports the work of CBM.

The community fire pit is located a short walk from the pool, for your evening s’mores around the campfire. Hike the Little Mountain Summit trail on our property for stunning views. The parking area holds 12 cars. Additional parking space is available at the office.

This cabin is in Townsend, TN which a peaceful town right beside the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, one of the few free national parks in the U.S.!! Townsend boasts delicious food and specialty shops. Fun activities such as horse-back riding, caverns, and river tubing are just a few minutes down the road from the cabin. We are nestled on the side of the mountain, overlooking the beautiful Dry Valley and Rich Mountain, where serenity abounds!
