Make wonderful memories when you stay in this beautiful mountainside lodge! Bring a group, your family reunion, or host a church retreat to “the peaceful side of the Smokies”. This lodge has all the amenities you need, plus a fireplace in the gathering room and of course, there’s a shared seasonal saltwater pool located right beside the lodge. Whether it’s rocking in the rockers on the porch, roasting hot dogs over the fire pit, or just hanging out, this lodge has everything you need to make your retreat or reunion special.
Elk Lodge is the main building at our retreat center and it is similar to a hotel-style building in that there are offices, supply closets, guest rooms, and guest areas to hang-out. The offices are separated from the guest space by a sliding barn door. When guests are staying in the Lodge, our office staff enter through the Staff-Only entrance and the sliding barn door is kept closed, so that you have privacy during your stay. The guest rooms and guest common areas (kitchen, living room, dining room, and common room) are solely for the guests to use during their stay.
There are 2 detached staff apartments upstairs (one of the apartments has an exterior entrance/exit and we are in the process of building an exterior entrance for the other one). Our staff members who live in these two apartments enter and exit the building discreetly and quietly. Finally, our main linen closet is located inside of Elk Lodge, on the first floor, at the end of the hallway by the kitchen. If our housekeepers or Interns have any other cabins to clean during your stay, or if our laundry service needs to drop off/pick up linens, they will be accessing this closet, but will always be respectful of your space and belongings. We provide a key for every bedroom if you wish to keep your personal belongings locked in your room during your stay. We have many returning family reunions and groups, representing thousands of guests that stay in Elk Lodge every year, and we have never had any issues. Please reach out to us with any questions regarding this. Thank you!
