PARKING

If you drive to Dollywood and park in their parking lot, they charge a fee of $15 for standard vehicles and $18 for oversized vehicles. It’s a massive parking lot and they offer a shuttle to pick you up and take you to the front entrance. There is, however, a much cheaper way to get to the Dollywood front entrance. The Pigeon Forge Trolley picks up and drops off right at the front of Dollywood about 50 feet from the ticket booths. The best tip is to park at the Patriot Park trolley station, get on the Dollywood trolley with their $3 all-day wristband (babies/toddlers that ride in laps are free) and you’ll be at the front of Dollywood in just a couple of minutes! It sure beats the parking fee, and the lines for the Pigeon Forge trolley are typically much shorter than the lines for the shuttles when the park closes.

Dolly Parton’s Stampede can create a memory for your group that is second to none. The excitement of the friendly competition between the North and the South, along with their 32 magnificent horses and world-famous racing pigs will keep your group on the edge of their seats. Dixie Stampede is complete with music, dancing, side-splitting comedy, and a patriotic finale that will move you to your feet. They also feature a thunderous stampede, cowboys and a wagon train full of hopeful settlers with a dream of freedom. Beautiful southern belles and their gallant heroes take you back to a time long forgotten

Dolly Parton’s Stampede celebrates its 27th Season with a rousing new overture highlighted by newly added video projections. The floor of the 30,000-square-foot arena is filled with moving images of stampeding horses so lifelike, the thundering hooves rattle the guests’ tables. Several of Dixie Stampede’s show segments have been re-envisioned to include the new video technology, and the most breathtaking use comes during the show’s patriotic conclusion. Set to the moving Color Me America!, written and performed by Dolly Parton, the entire arena floor is filled with the image of an American flag blowing in the breeze as a dozen horses and riders proudly present our nation’s colors in a display of perfectly choreographed pageantry.

dixieDolly Parton’s Stampede dazzles guests with a cast of talented performers and a team of skilled riders who lead the show’s 32 magnificent horses through barrel races and other various tricks, all in the name of Dolly Parton’s Stampede’s friendly rivalry and competition between the North and South sides of the arena. The 2014 show marks the return of two fan-favorite segments: miniature horse races and the bucket brigade competition, a wet and wild test of teamwork and coordination which is just one of several events that calls audience members to step up and bring home a victory for their team.

Please arrive an hour before showtime to stroll the beautiful horsewalk, and enjoy the side-splitting comedy and bluegrass and country music of Dolly Parton’s Stampede’s house band in the Dixie Belle Saloon pre-show.

In November and December, the Dolly Paton’s Stampede transforms into a holiday celebration including a live Nativity, with three kings atop camels, holiday music, a visit from Santa and a four-course yuletide feast, which consists of:

Their own original creamy vegetable soup (it’s so good you will want to buy some in the gift shop)
Hot homemade biscuit
Tender whole rotisserie chicken
Hickory smoked barbeque pork loin
Buttery corn on the cob
Herb basted potato
Dixie’s very own specialty dessert (A hot flaky apple turnover)
Unlimited Pepsi, coffee or tea.

Your evening at Dolly Parton’s Stampede will begin in the Dixie Belle Saloon. You will enjoy great music and comedy by the band Mountain Ruckus.

While in the Dixie Belle Saloon, you have options of souvenirs to purchase.
